As you will have already seen, if you’ve done your research, the Lapierre 2014 range has changed completely from past ranges.

In this review, we’re concentrating especially on the Lapierre Spicy 527 2014.

At First site, it’s definitely eye-catching! The Matte Grey and black clashing with the yellow stripes.

The Spicy 527 comes already equipped with a RockShox Stealth Seatpost. As you will see, they haven’t upped the price for nothing; with the new Spicy 527, you are getting uprated shocks, forks, a £300 post, Race Face kit and Easton Vice XLT wheels. So nothing to complain about there!

Lapierre didn’t just put the 650b and 29er wheels on their new bikes for fun! Much testing has gone underway; to make sure that these new sizes were the right idea. It clearly was correct, as you will see no 26” wheels in the Lapierre Full Suspension range!

Like the rest of the Lapierre Full Suspension range, except for two zestys, the Lapierre Spicy 527 will come with a fully Carbon Fibre frame, and only the Chain stays will be aluminium.

This particular model doesn’t come with E:I suspension, but on sale this year is the 527, with E:I suspension, we can’t wait to see it!
