As an expert in the industry, Crud has made some updates to their products. The Raceguard has been improved and now they have focused on enhancing the CRUDCATCHER with a new, futuristic shape and added protective cushioning. The fixing lugs have also been repositioned to accommodate wider frame tubes.

The Race Guard's update was a challenging task, considering its 11-year reign as the top market choice for Crud. Extensive market research revealed that the update needed to feature a fast and easy fixing system. After two weeks of brainstorming, the one-bolt solution was born. Over the next three months, Crud continued to refine the design through multiple prototypes using a Stereo lithographic RP Machine, a more advanced and pricey technology compared to their previous method of cutting up a surfboard blank. Without this modern tool, the '09 range would not have been possible.
