Description
The SM-RT86 Ice-Tec rotors deliver superior performance through innovative three-layer sandwich construction (stainless steel/alloy/steel), efficiently managing heat during braking. This advanced design radiates heat through the aluminum core, reducing surface temperatures by approximately 50°C. When paired with Ice-Tec pads, temperatures drop from 400°C to 300°C, significantly enhancing overall braking performance. The specialized contact surface ensures excellent pad clearing and cooling, resulting in extended pad life, reduced noise, and minimal fade. Compatible with 6-bolt mounting systems, these XT rotors represent Shimano's commitment to technical excellence in disc brake technology.
